Our philosophy

Reka has been built step by step, over 23 years of work. Not on grand ideas, but on everyday effort, on honest cooking, and on respect for every person who has come through this door.

We cook the way we would cook for our own people. No excess, no rush. What matters to us is that the room is calm, the food is good and the service is sincere, because we believe a good meal is not only what is put on the plate, but also the way it makes you feel.

The history of Restorant Reka

  1. 2002

The restaurant building with its balcony and the tended garden in front

In 2002, Qerim Reka and his family laid the foundations of Restorant Reka, resting on the Albanian culinary tradition and on that of Dibra in particular. This was the beginning of a family journey, in which dedication, traditional recipes and hospitality became the main pillars of the restaurant’s identity.

  2. 2012

The restaurant at night, with the facade lit and trees around it

By 2012, Restorant Reka had consolidated its position as a name known for quality and correct service. Qerim Reka’s professional experience in prestigious institutions and hotels was reflected in the organisation, the quality of service and the raising of standards in every direction.

  3. 2016

An aerial view of the restaurant, with its red roof and the parking around it

In 2016, Restorant Reka entered a new phase of development, expanding and modernising without losing its family spirit. The premises were adapted to the needs of the time, while tradition, the recipes handed down and family management went on being the heart of the experience the restaurant offers.

  4. 2026 – today

The wooden veranda with potted flowers, hanging lights and the mountains behind

Restorant Reka carries on with the same flavor and the same welcome, bringing Albanian tradition to the table for every visitor who knocks at the door.
